If you feel your brake pedal shaking or vibrating when you press it, there is a good chance that it needs to be repaired immediately. A shaking or vibrating brake pedal could be a sign that a part has broken or has come loose. However, it could also be a clue that the brake pads need to be repaired or replaced.

A properly functioning brake pedal will only travel a few inches before the car slows down or comes to a stop. Therefore, if it can go all the way to the car floor, you know that this component is likely broken.

In most cases, this happens because the brake booster is worn. A brake booster can become worn because it is old or because you have a tendency to hit the brakes too hard or too often. A broken master cylinder might also be the reason that you’re having difficulty stopping in a timely manner.
