For the third straight year, BMW Manufacturing has set a new annual production record. During 2016, they produced 411, 171 X Model vehicles at their plant in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

According to bmwnews.com, this plant is the largest in the BMW Group global production network, and it was the second year they produced more than 400,000 vehicles (exceeding that first year by over 2,000 vehicles). The record number is divided into 151,298 X3s, 56,404 X4s, 165,377 X5s, and 38,092 X6s, and 70 percent of those were exported to 140 different countries around the world. The plant will also be undergoing a $1 Billion expansion resulting in more space for the X5/X6 Assemply Hall, and space for the future production of the soon-to-be X7.

We’re not surprised that these X Models are so popular all over the world, but if you want to know for yourself, come by and test drive one today!
